Malcolm CasSelle Explains How WAX Created A Safe Way To Sell In-Game Digital Items

Over time how people purchase goods and services has changed. Years ago people used cash and checks to buy things. Nowadays people can use digital currencies and buy things by clicking on a button on the internet. Cryptocurrencies have a number of benefits over using other forms of payment such as debit and credit cards. President Malcolm CasSelle of OPSkins says that the growth of cryptocurrencies has introduced new ways of building a business.

OPSkins created a new digital currency called WAX. People can trade digital items they find in games to others and earn real money from doing so. People from all over the world can use the OPSkins platform because it uses cryptocurrency which can easily move across national borders. They can trade items such as weapons right in the game without having to exit it.

When gamers first started trading in-game items there was a lot of scams going on so everybody was pretty leery of trading high-value items. OPSkins was created by Malcolm CasSelle and his team so that they could trade digital items with confidence that they really would receive payment for them. How it works is the items are sold to OPSkins who then sell it to the interested party.

Malcolm CasSelle has been in the technology industry for the past 23 years. He started out co-founding a tech company called NetNoir which produced media specifically for Afrocentric people. He then moved to Hong Kong as he was hired as a senior vice president at Pacific Century CyberWorks which was based there.

He stayed in Hong Kong until 2013. Malcolm CasSelle was the director of Capital Union Investments for seven years. This company invested in late-stage internet firms. He moved back to the United States when he was hired by Xfire as their new chief executive officer. He also established another firm that year, Timeline Labs. In 2016 he was named as the new chief technology officer at tronc before moving on to OPSkins in 2017.
